GEF was established with an aim to help and create a sustainable life for all the underserved people. The foundation is dedicated to bringing new approaches to solve deep-rooted socio-economic problems.
GEF is a network of self-motivated people dedicated to help the marginalized people living in the DC Metro Area and globally as well.
Global Economic Foundation empowers underserved communities by helping individuals and small businesses start, grow, and thrive. We equip women, youth, and local entrepreneurs with practical support—business assessment, strategic planning, scaling guidance, consulting, and financial literacy education—along with wellness, holistic health, and future-ready skill-building so they can build stronger, more resilient futures. We unite cultures, unlock potential, and ensure every community member has the tools, knowledge, and support needed to succeed in a changing world.
A world where opportunity is accessible, everyone’s dignity is honored, and no one is left behind.
For too many immigrants and underserved families, barriers like language, credentials, and access to training keep talent and ambition sidelined. At GEF, we believe in turning those barriers into bridges. When someone gains a marketable skill, a job, confidence, and community — that doesn’t just change one life. It strengthens families, revitalises neighbourhoods and builds a future where dignity and opportunity go hand-in-hand.
GEF’s program changed my life — I started my own shop and now employ two others.
GEF believed in my idea when no one else did. With their guidance, I turned a small food stall into a thriving business.
